As we embark on the third decade of our operations, Moham Shargh Group stands as a distinguished business partners specializing in general contracting and financing for critical infrastructure projects. Our expertise spans across various sectors including electricity, water, oil, gas, petrochemicals, refineries, mining, metals, transportation, and railways, allowing us to offer comprehensive services encompassing all contract methodologies, both domestically and internationally.
With a workforce of 1,000 skilled professionals and access to extensive financial, commercial, manufacturing, and engineering resources, our group remains steadfastly committed to active engagement in infrastructure development. By embracing knowledge diversification and pioneering new avenues of operation, we are dedicated to shaping the future landscape of our industry, thus empowering us to meet and exceed the evolving demands of tomorrow.
In the mid-70s, our journey began with the inception of the Power Transmission Facility Service and Maintenance Company, the founding entity within Moham Shargh Group. Originally established in 1376, later renamed as East Power Transmission and Telecommunications Engineering Company, our focus was directed towards the privatization efforts within the electricity sector. Operating in the Greater Khorasan Province, our primary endeavors have centered around the maintenance, repair, and operational management of the region's electricity network.
During the early 80s, a pivotal milestone for our company was the pioneering effort in designing and implementing innovative solutions for Iran's electricity market. Our objective was to streamline the supply and demand dynamics, particularly for large industrial consumers, while enhancing the efficiency of power plant operations. This era witnessed significant strides in the expansion of our skilled workforce, bolstering our engineering capabilities, and fortifying our financial and commercial infrastructure. Our operational footprint transcended from Khorasan province to nationwide coverage, facilitating the evolution of our services from operation and maintenance to encompassing EPC contracts. Our expertise extended to the construction of high-pressure substations, transmission lines, and telecommunications infrastructure, thereby empowering the nation's power grid.
In the mid-80s, as project demands surged and in alignment with our commitment to addressing the varied requirements of our clientele, Moham Shargh Group was formally established. To meet the evolving needs comprehensively, four distinct subsidiaries were formed, specializing in equipment procurement and manufacturing, trading, engineering and project execution, telecommunications, as well as maintenance and operation of power transmission facilities. This strategic diversification solidified our position and ensured seamless operations under the unified banner of Moham Shargh Group.
During the late 80s, Moham Sharq Group embarked on a trajectory of exporting technical and engineering services, expanding its footprint in infrastructure sectors. In 2016, our venture into international projects saw the construction of 132 and 33 kV substations in Najaf and Karbala. Simultaneously, our portfolio diversified beyond electrical services within the industry to encompass vital sectors including oil, gas, petrochemicals, refineries, minerals, and metals, marking a significant expansion of our operational scope.
During the early 90s, Moham Shargh Group initiated the establishment of international offices, enhancing its presence in foreign markets and bolstering its foreign trade capabilities. This period witnessed the group's foray into supplying raw materials for the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors, alongside the commencement of exporting technical and engineering services overseas. Additionally, the decade saw the inception of extraterritorial cultivation projects and the group's involvement in water industry initiatives. Furthermore, noteworthy accomplishments included the transfer of automation substation technology and expertise in chemical treatment of transformer oils to Iran.
In the mid-90s, Moham Shargh Group embarked on the design and adaptation of automation software tailored specifically for high-pressure substations. Through the dedicated work of our engineering team, the localization of this software, branded as aSAS, was achieved, catering to the needs of transmission and super distribution substations nationwide.
During the late 90s, Moham Shargh Group undertook the development and implementation of innovative equipment, including a mobile refinery designed for chemical treatment of substation transformer oil and a transformer paper dryer, both localized for optimal use.
Furthermore, this decade marked the group's entry into investment ventures across various sectors such as electricity, water, and steel. These projects were structured under diverse models including Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT), Build-Own-Operate (BOO), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Financing (EPCF), and Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Financing, and Management (EPC+F).
In the early 1400s, Moham Shargh Group initiated the construction of renewable energy power plants, recognizing the significance of transitioning towards clean energy sources and diminishing reliance on fossil fuels. This endeavor involved leveraging foreign investments to penetrate and contribute to the burgeoning renewable energy markets.
Looking ahead, building upon our trajectory since the mid-90s towards evolving into a premier general contractor, Moham Shargh Group envisions itself as a key player in Iran's infrastructure sectors including electricity, water, oil, gas, petrochemicals, metals, railways, and cement industries. Our focus remains steadfast on supplying, enhancing, maintaining, and modernizing the energy sector across Iran and West Asia.
